The family of Ayah Lundt, a 14-month-old baby who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) a condition that needs the world’s most expensive drug, are now glad to hit the target of raising Kshs 240 million meant for medication of their daughter.
In a statement posted on Instagram page ‘Little Ayah’, the family said “After 33 weeks of sleepless nights and tears, we are here!!!We want to thank God for bringing us this far, for blessing us immensely even when we fall short of His glory, for guiding us and getting us here. For health and wealth.”
Top Kenyan celebrities were part of the campaign to help baby Ayah reach the target.
