The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) Kwale regional office, in collaboration with Ajira Digital, conducted a digital marketing training session in Kwale town at the Kwale Trade Office boardroom. This two-day training aims to enhance the marketing capabilities of products from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) through the use of technology.
The first session focused on leveraging digital tools to boost the visibility and reach of MSE products. Following the training, the MSEA updated attendees, including MSEs and Juakali associations, on the upcoming NYOTA and KJET projects, which are expected to significantly boost the county’s economy.
The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) project will expand on the successes and lessons learned from the Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP). The project’s objective is to increase employment opportunities and enhance earnings and savings for targeted youth across all 47 counties. NYOTA will consist of four components: improving youth employability, supporting youth entrepreneurship, encouraging savings among Kenyan youth in the informal sector, and strengthening systems and capacities to sustain youth employment and savings initiatives.

The Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation Project (KJET) aims to enhance the competitiveness of cluster MSMEs by financing essential services and productive assets that are currently missing from key value chains. This project will support MSMEs through business development services training, standardization, aggregation, and market linkage arrangements to improve the quality, value addition, and market access of MSE products in priority value chains.
