Learning at Kasambara Primary School in Nakuru County has been boosted following the donation of learning materials by Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge (LEML), a development of real estate company Superior Homes Kenya.

The learning materials aimed at boosting learning at the local school were donated by the staff members of LEML in partnership with publishing firm East African Educational Publishers (EAEP) and included textbooks, story books, exercise books, dictionaries, masks and pens

LEML team, led by the General Manager Mr. Charles Wambogo noted that education was a core part of Superior Home Kenya’s social responsibility and as such, schools were a key constituent of their sustainability efforts.

“Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge under Superior Homes Kenya is proud to be associated with the Kasambara community and we are very happy to partner with Kasambara Primary School today to support their learning activities.  As staff we came together and got text books, story books, writing materials, face masks, dictionaries and other learning materials to this wonderful school and we are confident that this support will go a long way in helping the pupils in their studies and that it will motivate them to work hard and to excel in their school work,” said LEML General Manager Charles Wambogo.

The General Manager further added that Superior Homes Kenya was committed to continue partnering with the Kasambara community in all aspects of life and efforts in order to ensure that the community and residents succeed and grow.

On her side, Kasambara Primary School Headmistress Ms. Phoebe Nero said that she was very delighted to receive the donations from LELM adding that the support was going to be of great impact to the school.

“I trust that this donation is going to boost the performance of our pupils to an upward trend in the next one year. I wish to thank Superior Homes Kenya very much for having gone out of their way to come and salvage the learning situation of our School. The school faces a myriad of challenges as far as learning is concerned due to lack of reading materials but this support that we have received today is going to help us address some of these challenges. I have been trying to inculcate a reading culture to these pupils and now with the support from LEML, I strongly believe that the performance is going to improve,” said Ms. Phoebe Nero.

The donation of learning materials is part of Superior Homes Kenya’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as the company aims to give back to the communities in which it serves.
